Michael Collie, CFP®, AIF®, Qualified Kingdom Advisor, CMFC
Michael is the owner and President of Collie Financial Planning, Inc., located in Asheville, North Carolina. He is a Certified Financial Planner(tm) (CFP®), an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®), a Qualified Member of Kingdom Advisors, a National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) Registered Advisor, and a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA). He obtained his Bachelor's Degree from Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1994 after graduating in three years, and completed his Certified Financial Planner(tm) educational program with the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. As a local expert on financial matters, Michael has contributed monthly columns to the Asheville Citizen-Times' local publications WNC Parent and Mountain Maturity.
While Michael's clients certainly value his experience and understanding of complex financial issues, they consistently convey that his ability to understand their personal goals and objectives, and clearly communicate a plan to achieve them, is what they have come to value most about their partnership with him. This unique ability to mesh knowledge and experience with interpersonal and communication skills is what sets Michael apart from his peers within his industry. "I believe that there are a handful of competent Financial Advisors and Financial Planners serving Western North Carolina," comments Michael, "but there is certainly a tremendous need for a Financial Planning firm that can help clients incorporate what is important to them in life with what makes sense financially. Michael lives in Asheville with his wife, Randi, and their three boys. He serves on the Board of Directors at Asheville Christian Academy, attends Montreat Presbyterian Church, and is involved in coaching his sons' sports teams.
